What

Draft spec for:

  • Git version control of Caddy config on m1-mac-mini (~/caddy-lab7/)
  • Automated daily git backup to Gitea
  • Specs tracking system in Obsidian vault (per-service subdomain specs)
  • Webhook integration for auto-updating specs on config changes
  • Pre-deploy validation via git hooks

Scope

  • Caddy config on m1-mac-mini (192.168.50.54)
  • Gitea repo: nwpie/caddy-lab7 (new)
  • Obsidian vault: ~/Documents/Obsidian Vault/Specs/caddy-lab7/
  • Webhook: Gitea push -> webhook-handler -> spec update

Non-Goals

  • No changes to Caddy config itself (no new blocks, no TLS changes)
  • No Docker/infrastructure changes
  • No DNS changes

Implementation Order

  1. Git repo init on m1-mac-mini -> push to Gitea
  2. Pre-push hook (validate Caddyfile)
  3. Daily backup cron
  4. Specs directory structure in Obsidian
  5. Generate initial spec files from live Caddyfile
  6. Gitea webhook setup
  7. Webhook handler route for caddy-lab7
  8. End-to-end test
  9. Documentation
